VIVA!

After going to the gym yesterday morning and trying to exhaust myself and the kids, we packed into the car and headed for our two hour car ride. The kids were dropped off at a friends house to play while Jason and I headed to Danny and Sonia's wedding reception. The wedding was July 5 in Spain, soooooo this was the celebration in the US of A. The reception was just as any other reception following a wedding ceremony. The cocktail hour was next to the pool at the country club, there was a prime rib/salmon buffet dinner, and plenty of fabulous desserts. I am guessing they were fabulous since I did not have one. We left about 9pm to pick up the kids, so we could get home around 11 or so. What a night!


Speaking of the gym, I am so frustrated. I am stuck at 4... 4 lbs lost. That's it! It's frustrating. Each time I go onto the treadmill and see the miles pass, and the elevation get higher and higher, I am convinced when I get off of that damn machine I will slip into a size 6 jeans. Someday, I guess.

1. Meara stood as my Maid of Honor.
2. She will always be a sister to me.
3. We have more memories over the longest time than any of my other friends, and even family.
4. She is one of those people in my life that defines friendship, loyalty, and humor.

SHANNON

1. As Meara did, Shannon stood with me on my wedding day.
2. Shannon was the first of my friends to see Juliana as a newborn.
3. Shannon's heart is bigger than she is.
4. She found a fabulous man and has a gorgeous baby girl.

TORY

1. Tory was the third (not in any order) bridesmaid in my wedding.
2. Juliana's Godmother.
3. We've gone through a lot in the 18 years of friendship we have had.

A Sleepy Kitty

Kevin slept a full night in his "big boy" bed last night. It really is not a new bed at all, just the side off of his crib. He hates it with a passion. I found him beside me at 3am just standing there. I have no idea how long he had been standing there. At least when Juliana comes into our room on a rare occasion, she whacks me to wake up, then tells me what is wrong. Kevin was just standing there. I put him back into bed, then a few hours later, the garbage trucks came.

Once the garbage trucks arrived, Jason started getting ready for the day. He comes out of the bathroom and says, "Look beside the bed." I glanced over and saw Kevin snuggled on a Care Bear blanket just like a kitten. He was all rolled up into a ball with his eyed closed. I have no idea how long he was there, and neither does Jason. I could not decide if I wanted to pet him while he was next to me, or if we should put him back to bed. The decision was made... Jason put our kitten back to bed. He is still there, although quite anxious to get out for the day. We will see what tonight brings.

By the way, have you seen the new cast for "Dancing With The Stars"? I have only watched a few episodes since the show began, but this season looks good. I may be sucked in to another horrible reality show. HELP ME!
