Boo to you!

UPDATE: We went to see GG. No photos. Unfortunately, I can imagine there will never be another photo with her. She barely knew who we were, and was definitely confused why the kids were in costumes. I have been in a fog since we left. I feel like crap for confusing her, when all I wanted was to put a smile on her face. Today is really really really hard on me. I'm hoping some trick-or-treating will perk me up.
------------------------------
We have been on quite a spooky Halloween journey this entire week. Today, the kids and I are going to visit GG (Great-Granny) to give her a huge tub of fine biscotti, then we will be going to the local shops for candy, followed by trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. I will post pictures from all of our Halloween festivities another day. Maybe GG will be feeling well enough to take a photo with the kids. Perhaps she will be in costume too. :)

His Journey

I am so so so elated to say that this little man is on the final few footsteps toward adoption. My friends, Katherine and Nikki have been on a 16 month journey to adopt this little guy. Luckily, back in July, the biological father saw the tight bond "K" and his two mommies had together, so he gave his blessing that day after a year long battle. Today, his parental rights were terminated. It took a lot for him to give his blessing. I'm sure he has had a long journey of his own. So, in another 60 days, little K will forever have two mommies to love him, cherish him, and mold him. I am incredibly happy for him and for Kit and Nikki.

Caps n' gowns?

This little man graduated from Occupational Therapy today! 6 months 1 week later, and he can finally eat without vomiting, gagging, or yucky things like that. The gagging is still happening, although not nearly as much as it had been. He's still pretty teeny weight wise, but he's growing taller and stronger each month. It is fantastic!
We still frequent Children's Hospital for Juliana, so they aren't completely losing our parking money, copays, occasional cafeteria stops, or "hello" to the nice man at the front desk. For now, I'm just happy that lil' man Kev is all done with OT.

Another K n' J

August 27, 2010, I gained a new sister-in-law, and a oh-so beautiful niece too. This photo is of my brother-in-law Kyle and his bride Jill. They tied the knot alone on a beautiful island away from the chaos of normal life. The only other person there was Jill's little girl, so she could witness her mommy and step-daddy make it all official. This is just what Kyle (and apparently Jill) have always wanted to do for their wedding. I am so happy for them, and so happy to have a sister-in-law that I can truly say, I adore.

I have no idea what prompted me to post this today. I did not post it before because, well, just because. No real reason, I just didn't. I looooove this picture, even though their faces can not really be seen. It captures THEM. I think that's why I like it so much.

Pumpkin Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, a mother, a father, a beautiful little girl, and a smiley little boy went to find some pumpkins. While on their pumpkin adventure, the little girl and boy jumped over pumpkins, climbed over pumpkins, tripped over pumpkins, kissed pumpkins, and hugged the pumpkins. The two children even liked to hug other pumpkin hunters as well.

After the adorable family found the perfect pumpkins to take to their castle, the father decided that taking photographs would be a fun idea. Mother happily obliged, and so did the little girl and little boy. Upon snapping the photograph, the father nearly fell over laughing and wanted to retake the photo.
Not liking to be in front of the camera, the mother disagreed, and proceeded to take the camera from the father for his turn to be in a photograph. The photo turned out to be a fun one for the two lovely children and their father.

As the day turned into evening, mother turned on the family camera to view the digital photographs. In this kingdom, we go digital! As mother was viewing the photographs, she found absolutely nothing wrong with the photograph at the pumpkin patch. She only realized that there was an issue with the said photograph when viewing the photos in their castle. She laughed like a hyena, rolled her beautiful blue eyes, and shortly afterward, her children went to bed.

View from Treasure Island

There are a few events during the year that I can positively mark as, "My Favorite", and Fleet Week in San Francisco is one of 'em. Yesterday, we attended the air show as we have done every year since living here. Check out our pictures... I took 108 yesterday. Most of them are really good actually, but this really captures the day.

Hello October!

Overall, days have been quite uneventful around here. This is what we've been up to...

Walks after school. Usually we go with friends, but this day we went alone.
Auntie Meara paid for Juliana to go on this carousel. I guess that's what auntie's do when mommy is too cheap.
Visiting baby Cristian! Does he look like a potato? His mommy thinks so. I have to (chuckle) agree. Perhaps we can call him Tater Tot!?!?!
These are the moments I live for! Pictured is my brother Patrick, Cristian, Juliana, and my sister's two kids, Trace and Taylore.

Lil' Monster Frank

Hello October! You are loved very much in this house. Oh and guess what, October 1st means that, FRANK HAS ARRIVED again! He's hiding on the top shelf of a bookcase behind a framed photo. Juliana and Kevin only found his candy corn, but can't find him. I know this afternoon will be a full on Frank search.
