Fooled You?!?!?

‎"Who you are speaks so loudly through what you do, that I cannot hear what you are saying". -Unknown

Let's not fool ourselves, my blog does not always reflect what we have been up to. Much of the last couple months, weeks, and days have really sucked. Yes, sucked. Nothing is for blogland viewership though. Why do I bother mentioning it? I dunno.

The above quote is one that I got from a great friend of mine. It completely fits my present, and I'm sure it could fit anybody's reality. Actions, little or big, mean so much more than words. Let's not forget that words have power too.

Interestingly enough, as much as many things have royally sucked (haaaa, I love that word right now), I have learned this new ability to Not-give-a-sh** about most of it. I just need to learn to Not-give-a-sh** about all of it. Thank goodness for a husband that can make me laugh some of it off. Phewwwww!

Oh, happy end o' March! Hello April tomorrow...... I hear snow is going to fall again for those of you many many miles away.

Interview with Mommy

(This Q and A came from a book called, Just Mom and Me. Yup, this is how we spend our mid-week afternoons. All answers are Juliana's.)

WOULD YOU RATHER...

go backward in time or forward in time? Backward. I wanna be a baby again because I get more attention like play time.

dance in front of 10,000 people or sing in front of them? Sing. 'Cause I wanna be famous.

eat all meals at home or all meals at restaurants? Restaurants. It's better than home.

be able to talk to animals or have any animal you wanted as a pet? Want as a pet. I'd want a black and white bunny named Fluffy.

be an only child or have 10 siblings? Be the only child. So I don't have to deal with an annoying brother or sister.

be president of the United States or the queen of England? Queen of England because I really wanna be a queen when I grow up.

be able to see the future or be able to read people's minds? Read people's minds so I know what they're thinking. I'd want to know if they were thinking something bad.

live in a tree house or live on a boat? A boat because I want to sail and see all over the world.

Completely Random...

Today must be random monday. I'm doing mundane household stuff (yes, stuff). I prefer not to call them chores since the word "chores" has always brought out my horns. :)

So, as I'm filling the washer with CNN in the background, I wonder to myself why anyone would want any sort of exploratory committee to run for President. Really, so you want to fix a crappy economy? You can't wait to police the rest of the world? You really want to figure out two drawn out wars? You really want to figure out a crappy health care system? Oh, how about social security? Don't forget about the horrid gay marriage thing too? Make sure you take some time to ban some guns but not all, some abortion, but not all, some immigration, but not all, some religions, but not mine, some taxes, but not the ones that benefit me, and for goodness sake, make sure you end this liberal, I mean conservative, I mean socialist, oops I mean, communist, I mean, Marxist government, I mean, well forget it. And for God's sake, please bring your birth certificate and other proof of residency to your next exploratory committee meeting. Proof of religion is always a plus too.

The last week-ish

((APPLAUSE)) Fantastic photos! Just absolutely fantastic!

I'm so glad I captured the visit with my in-laws in photos. You can end the applause now, thanks.

Pee-wee golfing. I won... well I think I did. I should have anyway. Juliana and I got a hole in 1 on separate holes, and shocked the pants off of my father-in-law and Jason too. Haaaaaa!
Auntie Meara invited Juliana to see her newest addition. Isn't he precious! Pictures do not do this little man justice. I'm tellin' ya, he's simply adorable.
Last day, I think. This is Nana and Juliana walking home in the rain. The photo is so stellar, you can't even see the falling rain. I tell ya, it's there.
The house is quiet now. In-laws are many many many miles away again. It was fun to see them and to make more memories. I'm pretty sure Juliana's favorite memory was baking cupcakes with Grampy on a rainy afternoon, and Kevin's was beating the pants off of Nana in wii games. --GIGGLE--

Back to normalcy. Whatever that means.

Baby Blue!

Baby Jake (no middle name yet) has entered this world! I am an "auntie" again. Ok ok ok, I'm not really an auntie, but I claim the title for this sweet baby boy. Off to put my auntie-ness in full gear as I now know that I can buy blue blankets, clothes, and of course, trucks n' trains for his room too. Perhaps with mommy (Meara's) permission, I will post a picture too.

By the way, Jake is his name. Not Jacob, or Jacoby, or anything fancy, just Jake. That's Meara for ya. It is the way it is, and that's the way it is. I wanna be more like her when I grow up.

Spring visitors

Spring break this year means that Nana n' Grampy are visiting. Yup, my in-laws are visiting from many many many many miles away. We've done a whole lot of catching up, eating in restaurants, riding bikes, and introducing them to wii. Yikes! :) Off to the big city tomorrow and a smaller big city on wednesday. Pictures and stories to come.

This little piggie

Kevin was in his first play yesterday, "The 3 Little Pigs". He was the piggy in the brick house. As you can tell from the photo, the play was extremely low budget, but a blast for a bunch of little piggies. The play was supposed to take place in the school cafeteria, although apparently there was a scheduling conflict, so the play was done in a cramped classroom with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other Kindergarteners.

My mom came to see the play too, which was great. Kevin loved to see Grand there, and of course, Daddy too.

Kevin is also in a reading theater program that he began two weeks ago. He was recommended for a school program called "So@ring to Excellence". That play will be in April. Since Kev loves reading (and full o' drama) and is quite good at it, he is having a blast with this theater thing.
