Hoppin' By...

Happy Easter! The Easter Bunny must have gone back into his bunny hole after leaving our house. Boy, he must have had some help from other bunny friends to get everything into our house. Juliana woke up this morning and thought she was in heaven. She saw four baskets full of candy, pretty eggs, chocolate bunnies, books, and even a present from Nana and Grampy that resembled a DVD, rather than candy.

Although Juliana was excited to see her Easter basket so early in the morning, we held off the silly part of Easter until we fulfilled our obligation to go to church. Both Juliana and Kevin were absolute angels throughout Mass. Kevin does not usually go to church because his attention span is close to zero and his desire to run is off the charts. This morning he wore his halo well!

Our egg hunt after Mass was so much fun. Juliana had competition for the first time, and was not sure she was up for it. As usual, she had a tough moment or two, then ended up helping her brother find eggs to put into his basket. Without knowing it, she also made Shadow's day by spilling candy all over the floor in excitement. The egg hunt is over, and the kids are sleeping right now. What a wonderful day!

Happy 5th Birthday Chandler! What a lucky girl to have her birthday on Easter!
Happy 9th Birthday Xander! 9 years old on the 9th... WOW! (April 9) XOXO

Tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of losing Grandma and Uncle Don. April 9, 2002 was probably one of the hardest days of my life. It's wonderful to have a sentimental daughter, because as she remembers birthdays or anniversaries, she always makes a point of making it extra special by singing or saying something profound. I wish I knew all that was going on in her thoughtful little noggin.
