How is it that the Biggest Loser women intake 1400 calories and work off a target 4000 calories during a workout? And the men intake about 2500 calories and work off up to 6000 calories? Isn't that a bit unreasonable for real life?! C'mon I love the show, but show me something realistic, not 6 hours in the gym and astronomical poundage loss.
I thought about giving myself the best birthday present ever... a total 20 lbs weight loss. That would be, uhhhhh, 4 lbs by tomorrow. Starve myself? Ehhh, not so much. It sounds really appealing to look at the scale and see that number though. I know I'll be at -17 when I weigh myself tonight. Yesterday I was squeaking by that mark by a hair. Then again, I was fully clothed. Ohh, maybe I should just count it. Nope, I have to actually see the number in order for me to count it.
By the way, I am officially sick of candy. Halloween gave me carb burn out and plenty of sugar headaches too. No more for me, thanks.
I do plan on having some sort of birthday cake or birthday yum-yum tomorrow though. I am also taking Juliana to her first movie at the theater tomorrow too. So popcorn is in order. I think I'd be the worst mother ever if I took her to the theater for the very first time and said to her, "nope, no popcorn or candy. mommy's too fat!"
I guess I'll be enjoying food on saturday night too. That night is the REAL birthday celebration. More about that LATAHHH!

History is Made
We have a new President. January 2009 will bring change. Some people will jump for joy for that change, while others hold their heads low. I'd like to think all of us can hold our heads up high.
I give a lot of credit to Sen. McCain. His words during his concession speech were phenomenal and gracious.
(A little side note) I am writing this as Obama finished his speech. I am nearly moved to tears as Sen. Biden just walked out from behind him. There is our future America, there it is.
I VOTED, DID YOU???!!!

My voting experience was an interesting one today. My first, middle, and last names were misspelled, or to be more accurate, they were butchered. My middle name is ALWAYS misspelled, so that didn't shock me, but come on, my first and last name are incredibly easy. So, I cleared that mistake. I was given my ballot, then went to VOTE.
I felt really good at the voting booth. There were a few issues that I voted merely for the fact that they were for the common good, and not necessarily how I felt. And NO, that has nothing to do with Prop 8 (gay marriage) in this state. I have my own views on that issue. Just voting for my presidential choice, and a few other initiatives felt good.
There were a few people in the polling area that were complaining about a woman campaigning near the voting site. "Is she within legal limits? Get her outta here." The woman was within legal limits, so poo poo on them. Haaa, kidding. Then another woman in the polling area wanted to know why ballots were in languages other than English. She was beside herself on this issue, until another voter shut her up on the issue. Drama, what can I say?! Feel how you want to feel on certain things, but pleeeeease don't voice them at the polling booths. I should get signatures for "SILENT VOTING RIGHTS", so I don't have to hear complaining when I am trying to be an oh-so perfect citizen by voting.
One last thing... I didn't get a cool, "I VOTED TODAY" sticker. I'm on a full protest mission now!

VOTE VOTE VOTE

VOTE TOMORROW! I'm a bit more interested in this election than any other one in the past. More than anything, I'm tired of crap being slung on both sides. Mc.Cain is not the too old to hold the office or the devil. Ob.ama is not a terrorist or a pro-abortion cheerleader. Educate yourselves on these men. It isn't too late. One of these men will be our President, and the other will continue to serve our country in one way or another. They are great men with different views and different politics, not ones that are targeting anyone.
No matter what happens tomorrow (or in the days to come), stop the idiotic mud slinging, and just be an American. I'll try to do the same, and not eat my own words. Hey, I'm honest.

Twicker Tweet
"Twicker tweet, mell my feet, gimme sometin good to eat."
We had fun twicker tweeting tonight. We began the night, with the rest of the population, at the local shopping plaza. A new photography store took photos for free too. Of course the kids sat perfectly for them. Thank goodness the picture was free, 'cause I would have had to buy it. It was THAT cute! After getting candy from real estate companies, tax services, and restaurants, I thought I'd hit the gym at the shopping center to see if they were giving away candy. Nope. I wonder why?! It isn't that candy is unhealthy. I'd think they would give it all away and hope for more memberships of fattie moms (like me) and dads within 7 days.
After the shopping plaza, we headed to the many many many houses to get candy. It began to rain, then stopped, then picked up again. We were getting pretty darn wet, the kids candy pumpkins were heavy, and frankly I was tired of twicker tweeting, so we headed home. Daddy was baking cookies when we got home and cooking dinner, so we had a yummy treat.
Frank is going back to Monsterland tonight. Juliana is very upset that she will not see him until next October 1. Kevin could care less. Bye bye Frank!
Happy Halloween everyone!
