Today was a perfect beach day. It was warm, not hot, not cool. It was not crowded, yet we made a sweet little (bored) 3 1/2 year old friend named Aspen. She was mighty cute, and ahem, bossy too. Little Aspen went home after about 30 minutes of ordering us around and making sandy mud pies. She was forgiven because her daddy made sure to make up for her bossiness by going back and forth to the dangerous surf to get buckets upon buckets full of ocean water for castles.
Shadow had a great time on the beach too. He got COVERED with sand and for some strange reason, loved to drink the salty water too. Ewwwww! No worries, he got a nice bath in our driveway when we got home. Daddy was in charge of bathing the two human children, while I took our furry child with leash in hand to give him a nice sparkle.
Sooo, that was our day. Sand, water, beautiful waves, gorgeous views, and plenty of ocean giggles too.
